I don't dose phyto.. although my clam probably would be happier if I did, I figure I have enough brown algae in the tank to keep him happy![]()
I do feed rotifers though (roti-feast it's Faaaaaantastic!), don't do it daily though as some do for their coral tanks, again dirty enough tank that I feel that they are getting some food without me doing any additional stuff but I do want to make definate sure they have food hence a spot feed.
Don't do brine either, but that's because I have a live population of mysis(mysid?) in my tanks as well as assorted other "pods" living in my refugium or overflows. I'd really be curious how large the populations would grow if I had no fish in the tank, where is the cut'off population limit I'm sure fish poop helps keep them alive though.
