Restarting a reef tank: best lights

You can find them with reasonable color temp. Some claim 5500K or so. They look pretty harsh.

I wont go with the aquacultured stuff again. Just too dense and bad shapes. The life on it is great though...both good and bad.

we bought a 24" fixture off of this guy and we like it very much. it's basically a coralife without the coralife emblem. wait till he gets his 48" fixtures back in stock. they are 250x2 plus actinic suppliment and moonlights. the price was excellent also.
i'm not overly excited about the bulb color though...the halide it came with had a little more yellow in it than i would have liked....then again, it didn't look much different than the XM 10k we replaced it with :?

Was there a manufacturer's warranty with your purchase?

no. just a light fixture. what will break? the most expensive part is the ballast(s), and if one goes, i'm heading immediately to the store to purchase a replacement. i'm not sending my light back to the manufacturer for a week or more and leaving my tank dark anyway, so, a warranty doesn't do me any good.
