How can I stop my clown fish from bitting the anemone? It is keeping the anemone from opening up.

:?: That's strange. Is that particular clown a natural host with that anemone?

Yes, she has hosted the anemone for a year. The anemone was about 18'' accross and now it is about 8'' accross. I have been working on the tank to try to get it to open with no avil, but I have been noticing that she sucks the tenticles in and holds them in her mouth for a while, then spits them out.

They usually do this when they are getting 'accquainted' with the anemone, not after a long time. Were they separated recently?

If I add another anemone will that help the problem or I am thinking that nothing changes, maybe I have two that go smaller.

these are the anemones in each tank, I know that the tanks sizes could give the illusion of the size and maybe a little , but this is the size difference.
