Hot glue and leaching.......

Has anyone ever used hot glue to affix something to the inside of a sump? After the glue cools and hardens, would it possibly leach anything back into the water?

Any experience with this?

i don't think it would.

stupid question:
you are referring to an empty sump, right? i don't think the glue gun is going to work underwater :?

IMO hot glue has low adhesion properties under ideal conditions. Regardless of it possibly leaching chemicals. I can almost guarantee you will be redoing yor project within a month. Just use silicone or weldon for your project (depending on its build) and be done with it the first time. If your trying to glue glass to acrylic of vise versa, I use a product called E6000 shown here. http://www.tapplastics.com/shop/product.php?pid=129&.
