I find reef crest mode is more chaotic and does not produce as much laminar flow as lagoon mode does.

Was yours hung like the instructions say to hang it? With the sticky fastener and the zip ties? I think that would stop it from falling.

It is the wet side that keeps falling off. The pin spacer was set correctly and the zip ties are in place. I do not know if it was the cracked ceramic collar that was causing it or if there was another problem with the wet side. I fear that if this happens again the dry side is defective and that too will need replacing.

Gotcha! Bummer!
Very frustrating. I feel like EcoTech is backed up or even overwhelmed. They were not responding to emails for a few days and I was leaving messages that were never returned. Plus, it took them over a week to ship the new wet side. I just received a tracking number yesterday. They are taking care of the problems, but it is getting sloppy and slow.

That wetside popping off bit typically happens after a good number of months with me, basically the shaft sticks to the ceramic disc and the torque yanks it off the tank wall. I usually swap out the impellers and let them soak.

Inside the wetside assembly there is a little white washer. Do you have it set on the correct side? Use the directions in the box to make sure the propper placement for it. If this is not placed on the correct side it will result in the same problem you are experiencing.

I found this to be the very same in my tank. I also switched modes from reef crest to lagoon as the reef crest just wan't getting the water moving enough. Once it would start to move it, it would slow down.

The washer was there. The ceramic collar was broken. They are sending a whole new wet side.

The MP40 is really kicking in now. Still on lagoon mode at 3/4 power. Actually gradually moving my sandbed towards the pump due to the undertow. I'm thinking of adding a modified MJ1200 on the opposite side.

Lagoon mode is the best. There is another one that I am not sure the name of but you can select the amount of time it runs on a specified level and then it powers down for the same time. It is not the pulse mode but another one that is similar.
