I tend to go for the less garish marine species.
P. annularis might be my favorite large angel.

Well my true fav is the juvenile imperator. That color change is heart breaking.
Hey Andy, where did you buy that fish?

Oceanic doesn't exist as a company anymore from what I understand, so you may have trouble with any warranty issues.

All those AIO nano cube jobbies are about the same story--vastly underequipped for anything but mushrooms and such for a reef tank, probably perfectly fine for your lame cichlids. :P

Along with the standard shrooms, pipe organ, I had a 5" maxima in one and it did great.
I had no idea Oceanic wasn't around anymore.

Thanks Matt - I wonder who is making the tanks now or if the available are just left over surplus?

I had to order one from Petco - there were no 14g's available locally.

I found this - I'm surprised they don't make the larger tanks anymore.....
Oceanic aquarium products will live on, just not the big “Oceanic Aquariums”
Posted on March 18th, 2011 by Jake Adams 2 Comments

Yesterday we posted about Central Pet nixing the Oceanic brand but it turns out that they are really only streamlining the Oceanic product line. Oceanic and Aqueon are two brands owned by Central Garden & Pet which both produced a similar catalog of aquarium sizes and shapes. After a few years of selling 100 times mroe Aqueon tanks than Oceanic tanks, the decision was made to curtail production of the higher-end aquariums. As many of you may remember, back in the day if you wanted a better glass tank in the U.S. it was pretty much Oceanic or bust. The Oceanic brand as a tank-manufacturer is basically what is being “skinnied down”.

Central Pet still has the capability to produce higher-end custom aquariums with premium features like Starphire glass, beveled edges and nicer trim that we came to expect from Oceanic aquariums, but they simply won’t be pumping out the big Oceanic tanks like they used to. Instead the Oceanic brand will be streamlined to include all of the products which are packaged: Biocubes, Biocube accessories, Oceanic Salt and Chillers and the Illuminata will still be marketed and distributed to the aquarium trade.

We are glad that popular aquarium products like Oceanic Salt and the Biocubes will continue to be available nationwide and we apologize to Oceanic and Oceanic dealers for the error in our reporting. Thanks to Central Aquatics and Oceanic for reaching out to us to clarify the changes.

Hey! I was just watching a Reefstock video and saw below the page a nice pic of the speakers at Reef Stock.

You remind me of someone in that pic but I'll be damn if I can place it.

Were you nervous during your presentation? How do you prepare?

Yeah, I still get nerves. I usually give the talk in full to someone beforehand to practice. No prepared comments, I just ad lib the whole thing. I hate when people just read their power point slides. If it were up to me I'd never speak but it's necessary for my job and gets me free trips to fun places, so go figure.

I find it more difficult to practice in front of one person for some reason.

Free trips would be nice.
