I lost my copperband yesterday and decided to check for tangs on ebay..Hey i gave it shot and I found out it's not the best choice... But while I was looking through the sales I saw this click here ......look at the video of three huge tangs together in a 5 gallon. I thought it was kind of cruel even if it's just for presentation purposes and who's to say he doesn't keep them like that so it's easier for him to catch later....Just a thought

I highly doubt he would be able to keep them in such a small tank for long. It would actually do more harm to keep them in such a small tank then trying to catch them later, he also stands a good chance of losing some of the fish if he did.

If it was done just for the video then it's no different then when the fish just comes in, and is being acclimated or someone is getting ready to buy the fish. It may stress the fish out but it actually lets people, who are bidding on the fish, to be able to see it.

Is it cruel when you buy a fish and take it home in a one gallon bag? Fish gets shipped across the world in smaller bags for up to 2 days.

Fish wholesalers kept fish in smaller cube for days. They have to keep most species separately and having a 30 gallon tank per fish is just not going to happen.

they all haved pinched stomachs for one thing and second, is it really any less "cruel" to keep fish in a few square feet of water when they had the ocean to roam at one point? A few minutes in a 5g so you can see the size of the fish for yourself is more than what most unscrupulous sellers will do.
