Anyone know what this is? Not stringy, more fluffy and get concentrated. Can't really confirm a color, sort of color blind, I have a very tough time distinguishing colors.

Closest thing I can find is chrystophytes?

Unfortunately, neither, I've dealt with hydroids prior and they have cleared awhile back.

More of a thick fur and even after brushing it off, it will regrow back fairly quick.

I've recently run dino X, continue to run vibrant every other week and did a flux rx treatment with same issue still around.

I installed a UV sterilizer 5 days ago and tried brushing it off, pulling what I can but it came right back on multiple pieces.

I was dealing with the same type of algae. Boosted CUC and dosed more bacteria. Also change all your filter from RODI unit even the membrane as well. I did dose a lil bit of Continuum bacter m which is similar to Vibrant but not alot though since I have high end acros in my tank. Good luck!

May be you should insists to clean it manual and then set lower lighting like warm lighting for your tank.

Still the same thing?

I have tried manually cleaning, lights out, change this and that. Reef flux, chemiclean and dino X.

UV sterilizer in place.

Nothing working for me.

And no ID to even think of getting another solution.

If algae appears on a large scale, consider reducing phosphate and nitrate, and consider pinching them off if found on coral horn skeletons.
