New LFS in Hartsdale (Westchester) NY

Hi all,

Just visited a new LFS in Westchester Just off Central Ave on Hartsdale Ave. Interior Ocean Designs. 13 East Hartsdale Ave. 914 303-Fish Ron, the owner is a great guy that grew up in the Bronx. Cool thing about his store is he built most of the tanks in the store, and is still building more. All fish, no reef yet. He said he has a big shipment coming Thursday, so I will drop by again Thursday evening.

So I visited this store. What a great selection of fish and prices are great too.

Stopped by the store this evening. The owner, Rob, is very friendly and the fish looked great. Most of the livestock was too large for my tank, but he had a few tanks with smaller reef fish and I grabbed a dracula goby for a reasonable price. Looking forward to going back once the store is fully setup.

Was just there today, he doesn’t sell corals, only fish and dry goods

Fish selection is decent, especially for those with bigger tanks, has a variety of large fish and some smaller ones as well

I love my husband s reef tank; but after visiting Grace and Rob s Acquarium in Hartsdale I ve decided to setup an acquarium for fish. I sat in their store s viewing chair for over an hour and found it very relaxing. My husband said the unusual way the store keeps their fish made perfect sense. We can t wait! Anybody know of a fish keeping discussion forum.

Rob from LFS at 13 Hartsdale Ave is with me now; finishing the plans for my new acquarium. I told him about the posts on this forum about him, and he s asking me to respond for him. Rob: "Thanks for the kind words. I don't carry corals because I don't have the knowledge; however, I would put out to any person or group if there is any interest in going public with a coral presentation in my place to come in or call 914 303 FISH to discuss this possibility.

I think in time you should knowledge yourself and get to understand coral. It will not only help your business. Definitely bring in people. Coral is very addiction part of hobby. That be pretty cool for someone give you presentation at your store. There really not many saltwater LFS around Westchester. Really tough time to be in hobby with shipping costs and getting fish. I wish Rob the best of luck and I will stop by to support LFS. Do some research not hard today with internet.
