Snail ID?

I came home to find this guy crawling on the glass. Any ideas what it is (besides a snail)? You can see in the first picture that the shell is irregular and flat (maybe 3-4 mm high), and the body appears to look like a snail. In the second picture, it's the flat thing in the middle. It's about the size of a nickel, and the shell is red and tan.

I don't have a better second picture, unfortunately. It was near the middle of the tank, and it's not easy to get a photo of the inside of the front glass. I tried to get it off the glass but it closed down on the glass and wouldn't budge, much like a limpet would.
