How you know-mine's coming out in a month???:thrash:

Just :bunnies: with you guys.

Once again, no LED aquarium light manufacturer is willing to provide info of their light.

Actually, mine looks DIYish but I think the light output should be the highest for the dollar:thrash: plus anyone can change the program thru a computer.

Current usa is also selling a linkable LED light that you can link 2 units together. They are only 12 inches long. Like Wingo said there is not much info out there on the LED fixtures (Until his comes out:) ). When some long term stuff comes out on them I would then consider the switch, Maybe)

I think its a good sign that others have broken into the market with their version of the technology. Like Brendan said it will take some time for it to work all the bugs out but it can't be that far away. Or can it? Anyways.. I'm really tempted into droping some cash on one of these things. My co-op is going to start charging me for electricity and I have 3 X 250watt HQIs, 4X6 foot VHOs, 2 sequence pumps (one dart and one snapper) and a 1/2 HP chiller. They installed a meter in my condo and with everything on at full full blast I'm using 2526KW!!! Can you say... I'm screwed!!

Allen you would need the "72 for $3660.00 ?

I would wait. I would go to T-5's before spending that kind of money
on a new technology.

welcome to paying electric for your tank like a normal person :irked:

Bob that is the question. Not too much info being put out by the companies as to your question and when you ask them you get talked in circles.

Yeah I know the price is really steep and there is really no info out there.

Sharn maybe I should get a nano!! We'll see by the time I get my first electric bill.

Wing they must have seen the blue lights peeping out the sides of the window!

BTW, FYI, the Current linkable ones are 4W per 12", I consider it too weak/footage (even in linked mode)that they do not belong to the same genre. I also work with this manufacturer of Current in the moon light series-the newer ones have wider angles LEDs so the light is quite even but too bad they should up the wattage to at least 12W or even 20W per 12" to become meaningful in reefing.

.

the fixtures are amazing at producing a color and light. Probably seen on the zero edge from HOF. But from what i heard, there is too many problems with the fixtures themselves. The assembly is either inaccurate or there are other problems in them due to the computerized system.

Wing, how mush would it cost to build ur own led fixture with out the computer...
say a 36" 42bulb 4w each?
