I HAVE A CRACKED DRAIN AND A RETURN AND NO WAY TO REACH THE BULKHEADS WHAT AN I GOING TO DOSOS HELP SOS HELP AND TO TOP THAT OFF I CANT GET MY SKIMMER RUNNING TILL I FIX THE BULKHEADS SOS HELP WHAT SHOULD I DO????????!!!!??!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!

Can you take a pic. of the problem? How did they crack? You are only suposed to hand tighten them. What type of skimmer? We need more info.....

Damn that is poor planning! I would suggest you use a dremel and cartefully cut the surrounding wood so you can access the bulkhead.

Can you see from the top if its the glass thats cracked? If its the glass, no point getting to it because you'll need to replace either the bottom pane or get a new tank.
If its not cracked, it might be a leaking bulkhead. In that case, you could try using a dremel as psycho said, but if you want to go on a safer but longer route, empty the tank so you can take it off the stand.

I am inclined to say this too. If you accidentally crack the tank, water will gush down onto you holding a power tool. Electricity and saltwater = :skull:

I was thinking the same thing. The dremel does have an adjustment coller. if you know the thickness of the wood, just go a hair line under the thinkness and chisel out the piece.

Poor planning though, what are you going to do...live and learn. Hope everything works out.

There should be about a 1/4"gap between the glass and the tank. The tank rests on the frame, not the glass. I did say CAREFULLY!
