Heater Exploded!!!!!

Anyone ever heard of the polyps still living even though the coral has shed its flesh? Never heard of or seen this before but it definitely happened today.

It may be in severe shock are they retracting and expanding?

When I left some were starting to show some extension and others were not. I will try and get some pics on Monday or maybe even tomorrow. Some of them I probably would have assumed dead and tossed if it was not for the polyps still being present. Just weird looking.

here it is. It smells exactly like burning hair if you know or can imagine that. Nasty stuff.

Undersized heaters in a cold room will fail eventually due to the number of times that the contacts are energizing.
So far I have had the following heaters fail on me: Won Proheat (bad controller causing overheat), Stealth (just stopped working), Finnex titanium tubes (dead after 8 months). I am trying out the Aqua Medic titanium tubes now.

Jared, LMK what good reliable heaters you come across that is titanium.
