T5 or VHO lights

Need some input on what lights I should use as a supplement like to go with the icecap VHO 24'' X 4 lamps or the icecap T5 24'' X 4 lamps what are you guys using I'm currently using 4 -400watt metal halide just looking to supplement.tank is 84''x24''x30''deep

In my opinion VHO's add the best actinic supplemetation. On my last FOWLR I went strictly VHO and it really brought out the colors in the fish

I remember when rstimeout had his old tank upstairs and had vho tubes, the actinics were crazy ( i believe they were super actinics)

Frank, how are you planning to hang the bulbs? The ones closest to the front of the tank are a no brainer. How about the ones (if you plan to put any there) to the back of the tank? Are you planning to suspend them from the ceiling?

FYI, I like the IC 660 ballast with VHO's. That will rock your tank.
