salt is one of the least expansive item in this hobbie. i used to use IO and get 370-380 cal and after i switch over to Tropic Marine Pro, getting 400+s so I be using the Tropic Marine Pro from now on. one bucket can last you 6 months or more so it's worth it

ive used most of them and currently use io, but going back to red sea coral pro, io isnt bad for those that have reactors, so the low calcium doesnt matter. i 2 parts dose and had to dose less with the red sea. and corals liked it so going back. but to answer your question salt is like women everyone has a prefference so it's what yoou like to use. all will provide same results but some you have to add certain elements to get par reading's

I use TMP and my Cal is over 400 but I have low Alk, which is fine with me.

I'm having a big hair algae, or some type of plant algae, and no matter how much I pull and scrub it it keeps coming back. From that recent comparison on salt TMP had high phosphates, I wonder if other people using TMP have algae problems too. I also run Phosiban in a reactor but still have hair algae.
