Help Wanted: Pest Inspection Station

I know you guys must get tired of me posting that I'm looking for help, but we need just a little more.

We're looking for volunteers for the Pest Inspection Station.

Duties:
Inspect coral
Find pests
Identify pests
Record coral and pest found in logbook
Take photos with a digital microscope for our records
Use chemical dips to show how to kill pests
Give out informational brochures

Now you guys know that stuff, well not all of it, but most of it sounds like fun and it'll help you with your tank as well. How often do you get to play around with a digital microscope? Not that often I'd guess. Give it a shot and run the station for a while.

Not only will it make you a better reefer, it'll give you a chance to get to know ton's of members on the board. If thats what you're looking to do, this is the job for YOU.

We're looking for 4 people to run the station in alternating shifts.

i remember at the last swap i was at the pest inspection station really wasnt a big hit :scratch: i guess no 1 cares if they have pests in there reefs ....

come on guyz its not that hard to do...

you dip the coral in the solution
you see if any bugs or pests come off the coral
take the pest put it under the microscope and take some pics and some notes :biggrin:..
ohhh and hand out some brochures or u can jus leave them on the table and let everyone jus take there own brochure lol....

If you are worried about having time to snag up the good stuff dont worry there will be an insane amount of frags, corals and goodies to go around to even other states :lol2:

lol not at pest station. i have no clue how to look for pest and identify them and cure them lol.
