Damn Nick!,

I just finsihed getting the table saw and granite blade today for your rock, I havent been on much lately and THIS happens?? I knew we should of done it this past thursday maybe we wouldve something was up. Not to mention I never got to see that amazing setup ive heard u have. I'm dumbstruck right now. My condolecences Nick, that really blows. Most of my stuff is small still, but anything i can frag you can have.

Thanx guys well i spent all of last night setting up my 180 Andre i could still use it the sooner the better i would reall like to get the new tank going to make this easier everything that was alive died overnight at my friends house all thats left are some zoos and thats it out of thousands of dollars in sps's i can not pinpoint the main reason all i can think of is that something died and since the returm and skimmer were not working all of a sudden it caused a chain reaction Im still willing to hold the frag swap at my house. I got the water rock and seaswirls tunzes and plumbing hooked up last night on the 180g today ill be doing the lights chiller and calcium reactor When Andres brings over the saw ill be cutting off the polyps and shrooms attached to them and hopefully i will have some new stuff in it soon I have all my family comin over this weekend for my engagement party but we will see. I just hurts that it cost me so much money and time to get the HARD TO GET STUFF likr the montis and acans micros and purple monster and stuff to lose them

House - I really like the idea of having some kind of (non-public) 'fishtank emergency contact list' with names, numbers, and addresses of those who are willing to take a 3:30 am phonecall and/or possibly rush over to help out with your tank. Perhaps only those contributing their contact info would receive the list. Anyways, just following up on what I think is a great idea - it would certainly help lessen my fishtank anxiety - what does everyone think?

first, sorry for the loss Nick. It's happened to me twice due to major blackouts. It takes a while to get over, I know.

i like the idea of the emergency contact numbers. it works for when you are out of town and something goes wrong. unfortunately in this case it sounds like Nicks tank crashed very quickly and unless you were there when it was happening nothing would have saved it. the emergency list can be organized by location first. it makes sense to have the person closest to you be called first. since most emergencies seem to happen when we are away from our tanks it's often a family member who spots the emergency first. they should also have the list, but should be told to call the person who's tank it is first to make sure there is something really wrong with the tank before making that 4 am phone call. those are my ideas I'd be happy to help set up the organizing part. I agree it should only be people who are willing to help out, and the list should not be public since it will have to include everyones cell phone and home numbers.

i am in for the list, and agree on the need to keep it private. wouldnt want the whole internet to know my address and phone number when i am away.

Jim and everyone here thank you so much with the amount of reefers that is on this site i should be on my feet in no time I know i wont get all the stuff i had but hell i couldnt phatom not haveing my reef looking normal just bare bones in a week or 2 my 180 should be 100% im home all week but thursday morning if anyone wants to come by that lives close again thanx
