Well friday i left to go down to Delaware to my family re union. UEverything was great having a amazing time like every year. Then I wake up this morning and get a call from my dad. Nicholas i think you need to come home ASAP. I ask why, he says your room smells like raw sewage and your tank is all cloudy. Plus my skimmer pump and return pump were not working. So i race home get home in 2 1/2 hours to find my 125g SPS tank has CRASHED!!!!! i lost everything my rainbow monti superman monti purple monster my leng sy you name it i had it ALL GONE my anthias dead, tangs DEAD, everything perished. I must of lost about $4,000 in hard to get and regular SPS's including my micros and acans and rics. I was just getting ready to set up a new 180g tank but now i dont know if I wanna how do i come up with the money again to buy my corals again ? Im missrable right now

WOW man I'm sorry to hear that. I lost half my tank like a month or two ago and it sucked so i can imagine what you are going thru....

Sorry to hear about your loses. That what makes this a tough hobby sometimes as you can never get away and when you do things like this happen. I was away for 2 weeks and I lose some fish and a bunch of corals.

Well I'm sure people will help you out and you'll get back some of the corals that you lose or you'll maybe start to keep other coral then what you had. It's a struggle just don't give up the fight and everything will be good again.

Wow Nick, I'm very sorry to hear about this. In this heat without a return pump, your tank never had a chance. My tank is recovering from a rtn/stn bout where I lost about a dozen of my better acros......it really sucks.
It takes time to collect all the nice acros, give it another shot. I have a cali tort frag to help you get started.

WOW! I also feel your pain! Sorry! It's amazing that it is so hard, long and expensive to get your tank up to where your proud of your achievemnt, only to have it all disappear literally overnight.

For me I have already experienced two bouts of major SPS losses and one total zoanthid wipeout during my time as a reefkeeper. It's so painful!!! That is why now I try and give/spread around any SPS I get to as many friends/dependable reefers locally as possible, so that if a loss occurs I can always get the acro back at some point.

That really sucks. Do you have any idea what could have happened?

If you do decide to start the tank up again, I'm sure a lot of members here would donate frags to get you rolling. If you traded a lot of your colonies then you may be able to get back what you lost after some time for growth.

I remember losing all my acros and xenia during the blackout and it was awful. Luckily, a lot of people gave me cuttings to get started again.

Look slike most of the baord here got you covered - I can drop you the Leng Sy to start you back, maybe even some acans, but nothing like the colors you had bro, sorry - we need some sort of buddy system like an alert or something like that where people can call people on a list in case something liek this happens - arrgh@!

Jackson, I feel ya man, I am losing some STN battles too with a few of my acros, but things seem to be settling down - weekly 30g water changes etc seem to be doing the trick.

Srry to hear what happen ..i dont really know too many ppl on the site ,as a fellow reef keeper . I feel your pain ,i dont have sps ,but i could help you out with a frag of zoos ,but dont give up ,,i lost about 1500 bux worth of stuff .my tank had a case of something called i think brooklynella ,,got from a LFS ,,learned a big lesson ,,
