What exactly does "BUMP" mean?

Every time I look at a thread, someone is writing "BUMP". What do you guys mean buy this?

It brings the thread back up to the top of the list. Same as adding a reply to a thread, it brings it back up above other threads that haven't been replied to and fall off the main page or top of the section they are in.
