Hey guys ..Im looking into buying a back up Generator.(just a bit on the worried side with the buildings elec im living in) does anyone have a clue on buying a good one that doesnt use gas .

Next queston . Do they make a rechargable Pump ,one that stays in a charger and g-d forbid i have a blackout i can use that to turn the water .

I have plenty of power tools do to the fact im a plumber by trade, so i can use some cordless drills with plenty of 18v batt.but i do not want to sit there with my tools over the tank ,my luck ill get tired and fall asleep.drop the dam thing in the tank .i know its the end of the summer .But never hurts to have one!

Honda makes a very nice generator....very small, quiet (a little louder than the compressor on your refridgerator), and puts out decent amounts of juice. We use them ocassionally for remote locations at the aquarium. Gets about 8 hours on a singgle tank of juice.
I've been thinking or buying one...

that sounds great ,let see who may be interested in one ,we could go to honda or look online ..more ppl looking for this ,the odds are greater to save money and find a good place to buy it .

is anyone from MR work or own a mechanic shop that may be able to purchase at wholesale price or a cheaper price .,,just a thought ,

2000 watts is about $1000....it's a Honda, so it'll run forever...we should think about a group buy...you can vent it out a window (has a metal ehaust)...cheap insurance considering the amounts of money some of us have spent on our tanks. Ebay may be the cheapest way to go. We could at least split shipping...let me know if anyone wants me to start inquiring.

Would also be nice just to have around the house...
