OT: RIP Blue Bird

My Poor Blue Bird got put to sleep today.​

Took her to the Vet and it just got worse. The vet said if she was put through surgery to remove her ovaries and uterus she probably wouldn't make it. She said that it was better to not let the bird suffer and put her to sleep. Talk about hard decisions. Well I went to the vets office with two birds and only came back with one.​

Thanks guys. John, Same reason I decided on putting her to sleep, instead of letting her suffer. I'm just worried yellow birds gonna be lonely now.

(sniffle, sniffle) I remembered when my parrot died when I was 7 (I gave him a cold bath because it got hot in the house, and the next day he was dead), it was a tough time. You have my condolensces.

Damn dude, and i just saw the bird on sunday....that sucks but hats off to you of taking such good care of a bird thats $20 and about to have it have a surgery $$$...RIP blue...(tippin' my poland spring)

Thanks Andres...This is actually the second time its happened to her. Last time was two years ago and we paid the $175 to get her fixed. This time they said the tissue had died off and it all had to be removed. I was about to pay the $300+(mom and dad finally cracked and chipped in along with my cashed in coins) but the vet told me it wouldn't be the best thing to do, cause she would probably be suffering after it in any case.

I'm gonna have to turn into yellow birds mate now, hes gonna be another chubby bird running around on the floor.
