Is PC lighting better than T-5's? i have a Current usa outer orbit with 96w PC lighting and was going to take it apart and mod it for T-5 lights, and add a few more fans. but if they are the same then i wount bother.

There are many differences between the 2 types but basically, HO T5 is superior to PC lighting. The main reason being it is more intense but since they are so small you can put more of them over the tank and blend more spectrums to give your tank the exact look you want.

Depends if your livestock (corals) require more efficient lighting than you're providing now.

what is the difference between using a 50/50 t8 flou bulb and the same type of bulb, 50/50, pc or t-5? i have a fowlr tank and another tank with zoas? thanks steve

T5-PC

as an overall comparison, i'll just start by saying T5's are better. they're better for a couple of reasons...but mostly for one; they're more energy efficient. they have ample PAR ratings, (vs. other fluorescents), run failry cool, and take up minimal space.

i have 1 150w MH and the PC lighting but wanted to upgrade it.
