Maybe I should rephrase my statement, I DIDN'T know either of them. I believe I do know little catfish now

Masterswimmer, unfortunately I am not totally squared away. They owe my 2 overflow kits.
I tend to agree with you, "the apple does not fall far from the tree". But I have known her father, and although he does come across as a harsh person I have never had a problem with him. As a matter of fact I once was sold a baby clam that died, and then I found out that they had lost the entire batch of those baby clams. Mike, (the owner) gave me store credit for the dead baby clam.

The thing i dont understand is why do many of the members continue to buy from lfs? the only thing i buy from them is snails and crabs and i would like to stop doing that too. i read the thread about the person who bought a tank from fishtown and the person who bought corals online.why do u guys do that?if u need something i think u should first post it in the wanted ads here,there are plenty of people who will help.

Hi Tony, I was that person that purchased my latest tank from them. I cannot answer for anyone but me. I had been shopping at FT for over 15 years without a problem. Until this one. And I am 100% sure that had I dealt with Mike(Catfish), George, Bobby, or Noel I would not have had any problems what so ever.
The problem is I dealt with Kathy (Catfish1), the daughter. By the way she is not a teen. She is up there, I guess pushing 40. She is a mom of a teenage daughter (17) & a 12 year old daughter.

By the way, who here sells new l55gl. AGA Bow Front ?

im sure some of the guys that are vendors would be able to sell u any tank that u want because most of the vendors here probably go to the same wholesalers as fishtown (guys dont go telling me u dont i really dont care if u do its not my bussiness) i bought alot of things from the guys on manhattan reefs. do u know that some stores charge over 100 for a mag drive 7 pump? by doing a little research here u can get one that maybe is 2 to six months old for probably 30-40 bux...i bought a 30 gallon oceanic tank set up from a place in flatbush ave i paid 500 buxx for it.if i used my head and did a little research im sure i would have gotten one for half the cost.everyone i dealt with here i had a good experience with ,as a matter of fact today i bought a deltec skimmer from a fellow reefer i paid 250 for it ( the deltec brand new is 450 buxx online 700 in a lfs in conn)not only that he gave 5 frags of zoos (i think i got a total of 200 poylps on all the frags)gave me a orange ric with 3 mouths on it and a rock with blue mushrooms. so in the future try to get stuff here its a good idea

Tony, I do get my corals,fish, and quite a bit of my supplies here, (but I used to shop quite a bit at FT before 2003 and they're prices started to get like the other lfs). Had been doing so since 2003, when Pseudo referred me to MR.:wink1: Had been away from MR for a while due to life stuff. But now, I'M BACK.
