where have all you guys gone sucba diving or maybe just snorkeling.
Ive dine the red sea many time on the israel side. but never the egypt side. the egyptin part of the red sea is much nicer, as they are not allowing the reefs to be destroyed.
I've done some scuba diving with thr wife in Florida, some of the islands like jamaica and we did 6 dives in hawaii. Those were awesome. We had just gotten our underwater camera and took some nice shots. saw 2 sharks and a whole bunch of VERY lage turtles. New to Reef world, so did not look for many SPS or LPS, but they were there. Highly reccomend diving in hawaii!!!
I was in hurgada(Egypt part of red sea) of course with all the sharks I saw when I was on the ship I wasnt too thrilled about snorkeling or scuba diving.
Missy and I got our certification in Palm Beach Florida which is really nice they have a reef and its all drift diving. We are going to dutch springs diving this sunday. And october 2nd we are going to cozumel diving.. Cant wait!
did kealakekua bay on the big island this summer.
totally blown away by the corals & fish.
already planning a repeat for may 06.
you should try it, supposely one of the best snorkling for shallow reefs in all of hawaii.
Cabo diving was okay, I was on a company trip so I didn't have a say on where to go. I didn't see much coral but mostly fish and seals. Fishing for yellow fin tuna was a blast.
I've dived just about every spot on St. John's (USVI) and some of the BVI's. lots and lots of coral but never knew what I was looking at until I started getting interested in the aquarium thing (the diving is what got me interested). I would have to say the diving is better in the BVI's though. Lots of nice healthy reef. Valley formations, shelves, walls, the works.
Best dive was when I touched a 6 ft nurse shark who swam next to me for about 2 minutes. It let me touch it's pectoral fin. That was a great dive.
