ok after reading this and agreeing so much with the whole article and worse part is i just had this same conversation with someone about the price's of corals, maybe it's because i make less than most member's or maybe it's just because i am a cheap b*stard, i could never fathom paying $100 for a 1\2" piece or $100 for 2 polyps, and yes i know each to their own and if not interested at that price then i don't have to buy it ( i wouldn't ) but when you see plain ole hobbist asking as much if not more then the premier website's for piece's it crack's me up.:irked: guess i'll never get totm,

this isnt to be offensive towards anyone, i do know what it cost to run a tank but i swallow that as enjoyment for my own personal pleasure, and i have always bought what i liked or was into at the moment, dont know how many times i have went from lps to sps and back and how much $$ i have lost inbetween cause the price's i sell stuff for is really giving it away, { my own choice of course } but it's funny to see over the last 2 yrs ive been here how it is a trend with corals and the same coral you can buy 6 months later for half the price. i actually found the article on zoaid.com, josh ifi lived close to the ocean id try a locally collected tank only, guess i am not that far from it hmmm another tank
