I'd say about 700 GPH but personally Ive seen them take 1200GPH fine. They're not fragile, they stretch and keep their shape just fine. I think you would be fine, and at a buck to try it out four times...pshhhh!

In my case I just dont want to 1) have to wash anything 2) Use up a crapload of electricity to clean up a few socks in my washer machine(nevermind theyre might be residual detergent in there) 3) Have to rely on a few socks 4) touch the crap that it built up.
Thats just me though.Plus I hear stockings are coming back this year
