I do, but prefer it all goes to where it's needed. Seeing as though we know this will go directly to THEM and only THEM that makes me feel like the impact more focussed.

Jim

that's true, but there are many others who are much worse off and organizations like the red cross will need help to offer them relief.

also don't forget that many companies will match your donations so you can double the funds going to them, that is very significant.

Thanks for the info on the frogs we got in touch with the pet store in pa and the frogs are on the way Here are a few more sizes in clothes and such, it seems the neighbors are in need too and being that Brittney has an actual zip code she can get the much needed supplies out on her end as we send them down, again thanks for all the generosity!! Men?s jeans size 30length 40 waist XL in shirts, Women?s jeans size 14, Med-Lg shirts shoes women?s 7 ? and 9 this is just so if you have them that?s great if not and you want to send other things or sizes TRUST ME IT WON?T GO TO WASTE everyday items that we take for granted are graciously accepted. I think my husband is setting up a pick-up or something.
Our Deepest Appreciation is extended to all and GOD BLESS YOU Eileen (Froggies wife)

hi Eileen, Welcome to Manhattan Reefs, sorry this had to be your first post.

I just wanted to give a follow up to what Eileen has posted.
I had the chance to Speak with NYPDFrogman / Frank this afternoon.
He's planning on leaving Tuesday morning and driving down to help
Brittany survey the damage to her home.
He wanted everyone here to know how thankful they are for the support they have received so far. One thing he did mention that aside from clothes for their family members they would love to bring down clothing for the rest of Brittneys town.
Half the town does not exist anymore so literally any kind and size of clothing is needed. As Eileen said everything would be appreciated.

Since House is in Ohio I'll try to handle the logistics of getting the clothes to Frank.
Please PM me with any donations you have. There maybe a chance to meet at BC's house on Monday. I could collect stuff at his place for the BK people then maybe meet up with Frank. You could also drop stuff off at my apartment this weekend.
Like I said PM me because right now everything is still up in the air.
Thanks again MR people I know you'll come through with more donations. I also emailed almost everyone on my mailing list, so I'm hoping to get more stuff in, though it won't be till next week I'm sure. don't forget to donate to the red cross as well, just ten bucks will help them out.

B,
that's what I was thinking if you had the bbq people could bring stuff and I could collect it there. I did not want you to think I was volunteering you to become the drop off center. lol.

Jennie I like the new sig,

I'll let FDNYFrogman answer about what's needed, but I'm guessing the toys would be as well. We'll have to wait for him to come back and let us know what the best game plan is. I have a SUV that will hold quite a bit of clothes etc. He is driving down in a pick-up, but will have a bunch of equipment with him. I say plan on bringing everything and we'll take it from there.

just got back from JC penny's after about an hour of shopping my wife Eileen had the brainstorm to just get a gift card. she called brit and there is a mall bout 1.2 hour from her so we are sending her a gift car to get some everyday clothes to hold her and her family till we get there.

it's still pretty unorganized down there and there's a possibility we wont be able to safely get to her house within the next couple of weeks. there is total anarchy down there the right hand has no clue what the left hand is doing.
(by the way it was like that for a week or so after 9/11, I was there and slept on the boat in the north cove marina)
right now it's pretty much sit and wait. I will be in touch with Jonathan to set something up before the week is over. when I do make my way down there I'll be going in a dodge Durango loadedwith my dive gear ( Doc says I shouldnt dive but... somethings have to get done) again Thank you everyone!
Frank

I'm sure toys will be appreciated if I can take them in the car I'll ship them down

ok cool, i had a talk with my son, and he said he will give some more of his toys. i will be separating the clothes into smaller bags labeled with sizes so it is easier to give them out. some of them might be winter items. i have to look. i also ant to thank you for taking all of this down there. i have been searching for a way to get them there. :D

Hi all, I'm Mike, NYPDFrogman's stepson.

I just want to take a minute to thank each and every one of you for your support. I'm one of the only line of contacts my fiance has right now and just to know that there are others out there willing to help makes a world of difference.

Her and her family send their thanks as well, the supplies that are being gathered will help them greatly. If there's anything I can ever do for any of you, please do not hesitate to ask. I'm sorry it took me so long to post here, but as you can imagine, things have been rather hectic around here.

Most likely I will be heading down there as soon as they get the all clear to go back. We can only hope for the best.

Again, thank you for all your help.

--Mike
