Atlantis Swap

I got to say that I was a little disappointed in that there is no one beside Greg and Allan is selling anything. I was hoping to grab a lot today, we bring had two 20gal tubs with us but had nothing to fill it with and my friend had close his shop for it. i guess we'll just save it for the NJ swap and next MR swap

Good thing is that my family had fun so it's not a complete waste of time.

it was stated pre "swap" that it wasnt a "swap" it was more of a BBQ with pickup requests... Then a set up "flea market" like the other "swap" we had in BK earlier this year
I agree 2 tho I suspected more MR vendors would have offered a wide veriety like Greg did

well hopefully everyone will post some pics of what they got in a diffrent thread sadly i didnt pick anything up <--- mistake maybe lol but hope everyones corals got home safe and sound

I wasn't expecting a full swap like event. The swap was just on the side if you wanted to do that, but it was more of an aquarium + bbq and meet fellow reefers event.
Summer isn't as big of a reef event compared to spring/fall swaps.
I liked it and it was very enjoyable

I had a good time today, was nice to see some familiar faces. I must admit that i was hoping to go home with a surprise coral, but I knew that i didn't arrange anything, so my hopes weren't that high. I always see something new in the reef tank there every time I go.

I had a great time today. It was my first time meeting people from MR and I'll tell ya you guys and gals are pretty cool. Can't wait till the next meet up.

Sorry that there weren't enough corals for everyone, this was a vendor-free event. I grabbed a bucket of stuff this morning before I left and basically gave them away in the first hour of the swap.

I'm glad you all had a good time, it was a great day and there were so many cool things to see at Atlantis!

I too had a great time, always good to see fellow MR members and very nice to chat with our new friends from BRS, HVRK, CTRS and of course LIRA.
Thanks to Joe Y for providing such a great place for so many reefers to get together and all of the great behind the scenes tours

..my only regret was not getting to see the tanks at Dickens..maybe one of these days! It was really nice chatting with you James!

Hey everyone, I just wanted to stop in and let you know that all of us at the BRS had a great time. It was a very long day for us. Travel times ranged from 10-15hrs round trip. I think we all wish we could have stayed longer than the 3-1/2hrs we had and socialize more. It was a fast paced day and I had to cut many conversations short.

The Back scenes tours were great and seeing so many reefers in a regional event was inspiring, always nice to hang with other reef enthusiasts. We hope everyone enjoyed the joint meeting enough to do it again in the future.

yes, I would love that and perhaps next time there would be an actual 'frag swap'

I think many were unsure of the the actual interest in a frag swap. After Seeing Greg Hiller's activity obviously there was a tons of interest.
We will have to keep it mind for the next time
