If you keep your fuge off line during the treatment, there is a possibility of reintroducing the bugs back into your system when you turn the system back on. Something to keep in mind.

I used this method with good results.
I pulled all my sps and put them in a QT for a month.
It saved my pods and hermits and allowed me to do an aggressive treatment for the bugs in the QT.
This method works as long as you know there are no stray sps frags in your tank. one little frag on the bottom is enough to keep them alive if they find it.
it's like treating your tank for ich by removing the fish and letting the tank sit for eight weeks to let the ich die off.
