I have had a really bad experience with a new online aquarium shop

The name is expertaquatics.com.

I ordered 2 fishes, 2 corals and some turbo snails. During 1 week I had no notice about my order status. Afther several mails sent to them, they told me that the order was coming...but, when it arrived , 1 of the corals was missing; I ordered a small tang and I received a X-Large (I had to donate it) and finally, the other fish was a Z. veliferum when I paid for a Z. desjardinii...
As today, no news from my complain....

This online shop is a total disaster...don?t buy anything there

Did you contact them when your received the order? What did they say? If they won't fix the problem dispute the charge on your credit card.

I too had great results from Live Aquaria & Aquacon...prices are cheap w/ good selection but shipping is killer, unless you do a group order

Sorry to hear about your bad experience. I always ask around b4 i purchase anything from a online vendor, just to make sure its a reputable vendor. IMO its better to deal with vendors on MR.

I hope we could look at the vendors and sponsors and see if they could be a possibility. Some are local, all are online right here at MR!

I placed an order with them for a fish I saw on drivers den and they told me that they had that fish for a while in a QT tank and when I bought it, the fish came sick with a bacterial infection on its body and when I saw the bacterial infection I called them and they denied that the fish was sent sick and told me that it was my tank water even though the fish was in my QT tank and told me what medicine to buy for him. First the meds I was told to buy had a bad reputation for not working and second live aquaria would not pay for the meds ( i spent about 30 bucks in medicine) and sadly the fish didnt make it and it was 2 days after the 14 day guarantee and they would not give me credit for the fish even though they knew that the fish was sick. The thing that I thought was funny was when I called them when the fish that they sent me was sick was they blamed my water quality even though I saw the baterial infection on the fish in the bag, and I told them that.

I agree. and after my experience with expertaquariums.com, is the last time I order online.

However, there is a website "marinesgardens.com" where service is excellent and I had good experiences.

the only problem I have with ordering from vendors from MR is that they are expensive. When I was looking at a quinquevittatum wrasse, most of the vendors on MR wanted around 150 bucks for him ( i spoke to like 4 or 5 vendors). I bought the wrasse from a non MR vendor for half the price. I ended up paying 69.99 + tax and got to see the fish before I bought him.

when shopping online corals look good in the picture when you get it.color isn't the same due to the light they use and the water quality.shopping at lps you could see what lighting it in and the actually color of the corals

Online prices are great! As a matter of fact they seem too good to be true sometimes and until you get hit with the shipping charges that are over inflated they are great. After you factor the shipping you are pretty much getting the same price as a LFS, vendor etc. locally gives you.
