Hi

I'm having a hard time figuring out the source of micro bubbles I'm getting from my returns. I run an ampmaster 2700 split into 2 1" returns. Might it be from the pump, and if so, what should I do?

Thanks

If I remember correctly Michael :scratchch ...if air is getting into your return line, water is getting out somewhere. Check the pump and the return split for water droplets or salt creep.

If he has air getting in on the discharge side, he should see a leak or saltcreep. But on the intake side, he might not see a leak, sort of like a venturi effect. Michael, if your Amp is connected to your sump, check the PVC fittings between the union and the bulkhead. Sometimes you don't get a good bond with the PVC glue. Also check that the union fitting on the Amp is hand-tight.

Also, The bubbles are only on 1 side of my T. The other side is clear. Can I assume the problem is one of the fittings on that side of the T, or could it be earlier in the loop, and only coming out on one side?
