The problem i seem to be encountering is my work schedule. The only days most chefs have off is Monday and sometimes tuesday. So most frag swaps are out for us, and meeting people from this site to buy frags is difficult, because we also get out of work fairly late.
All the good deals seem to be pick up sat. and sun. This does not work for us..
I dont know if there are any other chefs on this site but if there are (especially if you sell frags) drop this thread a line and maybe we can work something out, like group buys.
If there is anyone selling frags or equipment and does not mind meeting late, or on mon. tue. thats great too

what kind of "frags" are you looking for I think almost EVERYONE has at least one frag they would sell


And if you wanted something specific you can always paypal to ask someone to hold for you and sometimes other people going can bring something back for you

Im cycling a 72 right now that will be ready in about 4 weeks. Im looking for all types of frags, Acan, zoos,chalice, leathers, etc.
And fish, Potters angel, blue face angel, blue spot jawfish, watchman goby, and fairy wrasse

James, many folks here are willing to meet in the evenings to sell frags and fish especially if you pay in advance for them, and also willing to hold them until you can get there. Some of our vendors deliver and most are open for business on Mondays & Tuesdays
Unfortunately the frag swaps need to be held on weekends but you'll find that prior to the Swap itself, many folks post corals they will be selling there and other arrangements can also be made. :spin:

Yes i have met some very accomodating people on this site and have gotten some good deals, I just want to make people aware that some people are not available during "normal" hours. And for some people weekends are out.

sorry CHEF you should not keep a blue face in that size tank and it most likly will eat coral potters angel might nip too but not as much.... blue dot jaws are hard to keep and NEED to have all holes on the top cover or they will jump out

When you are ready post WTB(want to buy) thread and someone will get in touch with you with what you need BUT many stores are open monday and tuesday....

Sorry about the swaps, we can't do anything else. The only other day that works is Saturday and then we can't do a large swap. If you have 2+ months advance notice you can't take a day off?

Let me know about that frag swap catering gig. If it is a day i can work things out with work, I will do it for cost because MR has been so helpful to me.
It would be a nice way to give someting back.
There also must be other chefs on MR. Maybe we could get together and do a simple mr BBQ in a public park or something and keep the entrance fee very low.
