My Ca Reactor...

I just purchased a Ca reactor made by reefmania via RC. paid buucoo bux. here is a pic of reactor, im waiting on shipment of regulator, tubing, and media, all should be here today. I will need some help putting together and fine tuning. I figured might as well start this thread now so when i get all the parts i can pic brains.

Did some one take a bite off that base plate? Did you buy it new or used?

It is hard to say how much media you'll need without knowing the diameter of the chamber and height of the media you like to have. I would guess you need about two 8 pound containers of ARM to fill that thing.

mike if i was you i would get a ph monitor.. keep the ph from the effuleny between 6.6- 7.0 i like to keep mine at 6.7-6.8

hey slama ,,nice reactor ,,just hooked mine up today ,,thx to Rich(jackson) ,i have a PM reactor ,,it took about 5 lbs of media ,,,its about 17inch high 3 inch tube ,,,,
so youll have some leftover with a 8 lbs container,,good luck with it ,,NO MORE DOSING ,,,,

thxs mike...just got i yesterday...my ph now is 8.3...waiting for media and co2 tubing, im hoping that its nly 8lbs, cause i think the ARM i got is only 8lbs, i fixed the chunk from base and putting the connection better, im going to ditmas to go get my tank filled, it sucks to give my brand new tank to them as trade...uhhhhg. mike whr do u go for co2?
