Don't take this the wrong way, but at the last swap I voluntered to help, got there early and quickly realized thet most vendors were quite adamant about not letting anyone help them set up. The worst instance was when I walked by this one vendors table and noticed that the table cloth was crumpled on one corner.... I reached down and straigtened it out and the vendor barked angrily at me ''don't touch my table !!''

So, my advice is that you may want to consider the possibility that swap vendors may not need or even want members to help them set up... just my two cents.

Booze...there are a number of Vendors that do require our help carrying their stuff inside during set up, and they are more than happy for the assistance. Sorry about that one that got grumpy with you!

There are many other detail things that need to be done during set up that has nothing to do with the vendors...so we really do need the help!!

Lets not forget that that even though there is a lot of work involved in setting everything up there is just as much work to be done with the clean up, and we have a much short period of time to get it all done.

So though everyone would like to come early, and help with the setup, it's just as important that we have people stay late and help with the clean up.

I've helped with the clean up several times and it's not bad at all when there are plenty of people around to pitch in. You know you wanna!
