Apart from swap meets, do you guys ever get together for paintball trips, skiing, group stuff?

Manhattan Reefs has evolved into more of a social club with members who reef and FOWLR. :grouphug:

As for getting together for drinks, YES, we all do that.

paintball next thursday at EJAMS in NJ, 15 minutes from the GW. we can also go to the one in queens, i dunno the name.i'd rather go to Ejams. if you know any other good and cheap places let me know.if anyone wants to do a different date thats cool too.....

next tHursday am out of town on business, but am IN for the next. i need to get out too, speNding to much time with mY fish :headache:

we usually go to triage paiNtball in PA. it's 1.5 hrs away and the fields are nice and not far from the staging area

plus side is that they look like they have nice fields, any ideas as to how many fields they have???bad side is their prices are a little steep for PB...after all the fees and buying paint i would spend close to $200 for one day of play, if not more.

i like to go to three fields in the area, mostly because they are cheap....they all include all day air with their field fees and rentals (usually field fee is about $25 if you have your equipment and not more than $40 if you rent)we usually take our own paint that we get for $35-$45 from a friend for a case of 2000 rounds, or in the case of Ejam buy their paint on thursdays which is only $45 and they wave the field fee.

the three fields i like in the area are Ejam
BYOP only on thursdays, downside is they only have one indoor field.definite plus is that they are only 15 minutes away from the GW.

high velocity
BYOP on wednesday nights, awesome staff, very good indoor field.again the downside is that they only have one field, and they're about an hour away from where i live.exit 53 on the LIE.

ABC paintball

BYOP all the time, they have two outdoor fields
one speedball and one woods ball...i personally love their speedball field and when i go i only play on that field.they are about an hour away from the GW in hewitt NJ.downside is that the owner is an a$$hole (he's usually not there, i've only seen him once since i've been going there) the rest of the staff is pretty cool, especially the owners wife.

i'm not cheap, but i would rather leave some $$$ for my fish related DIY projects and frags,lol

hey, being cheap is NOthing to be ashamed of.

am cheap when it comes to fishes/reef coz i have a mortgage(s), cars, my ski equipment, dinners with my gF, software/hardware for my Macs to pay for, tech gadgets/toys, not to mention my english bulldog (see avatar)... so darN it... i LOVE being cheap, coz i caN't be anything eLse...:tongue1:

Paintball is fun! If someone would organize a trip I think a lot of people would go. Fall is the best season right?

Buy a lot of ammo.

I prefer the little mini-city-scape arenas to the wilderness/bush kind of thing.

I don't think I am up on the paintball lingo, I'm sure there are words for these.

i don't think there are too many fields close by with nice "city scape" fields. we could try the one outdoor field i listed as a first, ABC paintball, and see where it goes from there.what day would be good for you guys??? i'll start another paintball thread.
