Just thought I'd vent a little here in order to remind others not to do the same- just got home, tank looks great...walked to my computer, sat down for about 15 mins- got up, went over to the tank- and what do I see? One of my Xenia frags I got at the swap (and my favorite too- they wouldn't stop pulsing
) was sucked up into the intake tube to my Aquaclear 70!!!
Turned it off, pulled the now sorry looking frag out- hopefully it opens up again as nice as it was... I'm not overly upset since I have a few more Xenia frags and I know they grow quickly, but still... Good thing I was home though and this didn't happen while I was at work!
This time I Glued down the frag in the same place as it was before, so it won't get sucked up again easily- wish I had thought of that before! I think I'm going to do that from now on with any long softies that are anywhere near an intake- I really hadn't thought about how strong the suction is!
Anyone know what I should use to glue to sections of the aquaclears tube? I'm going to cut it down so it is not as close to my Xenia!
