I put 2 snails, at night, in one of my nan0s am cycLing (barebottom) and in the morning, there was all this cRap on the bottom... :irked: d0 they reaLLy poop thaT much? if so, who/what breaKs this down... or eat it

Your sandbed will probably take care of it too, don't be bother with it.

Decompose, the bateria in the live rock takes care of it, live rock act as a biological filter.
Skimmer will take it outta the tank as well.

Get a Remora w/ maxijet 1200. Works great- though i do get some microbubbles in my tank still. I solved it by putting a sponge on the outlet where water comes back into tank (rinse it out daily though).

There's no protein skimmer can fit in to our 12G JBJ Nanocube ATM. However, Nanocustome got the smallest skimmer might be able to fit in to our back compartment but it's not out yet, maybe you have to wait a month or two. This is not the best skimmer but it's very cheap, something like $30ish.

I think the best solution is like Inline6 setup. Take out the stock hood and put 20" Coralife 96W PC light on it. It gives plenty of open area to put hang refugium with skimmer on it. But this is definately going to stretch your budget. But if your budget is $200 then it might work. Light with leg is about $130, and Coralife Protein Skimmer 65G Needle Wheel is less than $100 from Ebay.

I heard Coralife Proten skimmer is almost as good as Remora but it's cheaper. And I think I saw someone hanged this skimmer on the back of our Nanocube, you should search it on Nano-reef.
