yes it is $600.00 but worth every penny i would never buy another skimmer but a deltec. look at it like this we spend tons of money on or display. so what is some more when it makes the display look even better.. i had a few of the skimmers you guys are talking about . they cant even shine the deltecs shoes.. you get what you pay for..

Well there might be a way. First you insert.... :joke: I got really lucky with my skimmer. I bought it used. Its a DAS BX-3. The last guy modified the pumps to the deltec aquabee 2000/1. Its a drop in sump type. It skims like crazy! When I first got it I thought I would only have to empty the collection cup every two weeks due to its gallon plus size. But I was wrong. The only drawback is the size. Its fairly large.

Just look at the water container next to the collection cup for size comparisson.

If it is a choice between the g3 or g4 go with the g4. We all have this disease called upgrade. At least when you get a bigger tank you dont have to get yet another skimmer.
