industrial plastics 345 canal street. There's also two or three other places, but industrial has the bset scrap bin.
I'm off there tomorrow to buy a piece of blue to cover the back of my new 20. I'll check there for you. I know you can get a 12"x12" piece of 1/16 for around $3.
thanks so much BC, let me know if you see any.
why dont you just use paper for the back of your tank? not easier? or are you going for the "illuminated back"?
I'm cutting the oveflow in the back center of the tank. There will be an overflow glued on the back. So I need somthing inside the tank. So i'm covering the back of the tank with either blue or black acrylic, the routing the teeth in the plastic rather than the glass. It's easier, and will look better anyhow.
I only have a Rotozip to cut the holes in the glass. So if I tried to do notches, the'll look pretty bad. I know I can make them look good on the plastic.
Now I just have to decide what size wier to cut into my tank!

i have a dremel if you want to borrow it. i dont know how to make nice looking notches myself (i tried to make some on my overflow, but it doesnt look so nice).
did they have black acrylic by the place?
I've got to go this week some time. I cracked a tank today, trying to cut the wier. I clamped it too tight. As soon as the bit went through the glass, it broke. So I'm making a new jig, or I'm just going to clamp a square to the tank.
On the other hand, I have all the glass I need for the overflow box. .
i'll go with the 1/8"
i'd actually take two pieces or a larger size if they have. it's always good to keep in the garage in case i want for something else.
my cell is 917-749-6667 - if you have any problems when you are there.
thanks again, i really appreciate this! you're the best!
