Anybody have any issues with these guys? I have been observing them inmy tank for a while. I didnt have any issues with them until last week. Right before i left for the weekend, i noticed one of them was on a Palythoa polyp. I got home last night to find 3 palythoa polyps on a frag that used to have 4...:irked:

Should I try to get rid of these things or what?

i never had a problem with them. but once i accidentally spilled magnesium crystals in my tank and it fell onto some polyps. the stars ate all the polyps that were affected and left the good ones alone. in my experience they do not bother my corals unless there is some form of decay/stress

I took 3 small ones out. I found one that was about 1/4 of an inch from tip to tip, lost him in the live rock though. Everything in my tank is healthy. Paly's were new though, so who knows...

Ill keep an eye to see if more stars come to pick on the paly's. Hopefully they dont.
