Help converting wet/dry to sump ~

You could strip it of everything and use the left compartment for a skimmer and the right for a return. Simply as that.

hehhehe, i know i shouldnt put it there, but i put a return pump in there , so i dont have to wory about micro buble. my skimmer producing so much bubble in the sump.

Removing the Bio-balls from the filter:
Will it change my bio or water?
So far my water has been good. This system has been up a few months....but want to convert to the sump before there are issue with the Bio-balls.
Also, I have some LR rubble, would it beneficial to use it in the sump or can I just run the filter socks & skimmer (in the sump)?

but will it be a necessity to place the rubble? I have about 100lbs LR in my 46.
I don't have much room in this small sump.....I can fit it in if I have to.
