So I just set up a mysid breeding system. It is a 5 gallong syphoning into a 2.5 gallon, with a throttled MH 1200 on the return. I followed the advice from the Breeders Net:
http://www.advancedaquarist.com/issues/sept2003/breeder.htm

The syphon is screened off with 800 micron net (so as to allow juveniles through) and the return pump has a 600 micron net (so as to let the artemia through). I am feeding live and frozen artemia, and dried clumps of phyto from a live culture. So far I have kept the little buggers alive for a week. I would appreciate advice from anyone who has successfully breed them (eh-hem, Dom).

My goal is to feed my seahorses without fouling my water with the frozen stuff, and thereby also reducing my bristle population. I figure if it crashes a new batch only costs $15 or so shipped from Aqua Sachs. My biggest concern is keeping the culture from fouling by overfeeding.

This sounds like a great idea. Do you have any pics of the system to share ?
