yeah, they threw in the new pump I ordered into the refugium box.
Floating in that box eventually cracked it.

FEDX and the dumb shippers at Dr Fosters incorrectly packed my new refugium.
Received it cracked, now I have to wait another 1.5 weeks to get my new 26g bow going.

nah, they had a sale on the AquaFuge med size, I figure I can always get a nicer skimmer that works better in the future, I heard the Bak skimmer wasn't that good.

Some Progress.....

1st day with some live sand and a very small lawn mower blenny.
Still awaiting the replacement refugium to come in, should be here by Friday next week, hopefully w/out cracking.

Don't worry keeping an eye on conditions w/in the tank, not a sacrificial fish.

Lawn Mower blennies have incredible color shifting capabilities (camo),
too bad, only one per tank, unless you plan on keeping 20 of them like FT.

About the light issue, I think I'm going to get a piece of smokey acrylic to cover the entire back of the 26g, lucky I have some access to this material.

Gonna have to study the flow issue when I finally have it setup...

Home made ATO system

Savaged my ATO from my cracked nano.
Seems to be working w/out a hitch.
Must find a better way to conceal though.

Seems to cast decent light, won't know till I have live coral in.

OK, so I called up Drs. Fosters & Smith last nite and ask them if I can get shipping status on my replacement refugium. They tell me that they are awaiting the cracked one to be returned to them???????????????
This is after I made it clear that I wanted a replacement to be sent right away and that it was ok to charge my card in the mean time.

Question:

I won't be getting my new refuge till Monday next week, now what do you guys think about if I put all the algae (chaeto) into the main tank area, along with all my corals & Live rock?
Is this a good temp solution, I would run my PC quad4 96w 24hrs.??

Chaeto does not need a 24 hr photoperiod (i.e. it won't go sexual otherwise). As long as you can place it so it won't float around disturbing your livestock, you will be fine.
