arite i know this is crazy. but just imagine if we had a joint manhattan reefs reef tank.

well acording to the site, there are almost 900 members. if each member gave 100 buck then we would be able to jointlly buld a $90,000 reef tank.
now granted some mebers would do this and others have beeen MIA for years, but give or take it would be something around 90,000 dollars.
we would all take turns with maintence and feeding and sunday water changes. and there wouldbe no arguing as to what fish to get or if this guy doesnt like the other guys fish or coral, cause itll be so huge everyone will get what they want. just imagine the the awsom tank we could have.

now location is a problem, cause were would be put it, but with all the money, we could even rent out or buy a small aprtment in the city designated for it. well we might need more then 90k for that but who cares, cause its my imagination. we could brake records and everthything.

I think you're onto something. If we had dues for the site, we could use that money to build a crazy reef tank. And hey, maybe we could put it in a childrens ward in a hospital or a doctors office, elementary school or something like that. Then we could ask the people where the tank is to let us use their space on weekends for frag swaps - Hmmmmm, I like this idea.

I'm getting into this a bit late, but this is a great idea, and House's idea totally makes it worth doing. If anyone really wants to consider doing something like this (in a hospital,school, nursing home...) count me in. I wouldn't be comfortable enough to go off on my own for servicing or something like that... but I would meet someone and "assist" with what I can.
