I use a RODI for both my dog and reef. I don't really get the question though, are you asking what we use on both at the same time or what are good products individually?

Good products individually. Like I use Yesterday's News cat litter for my cats and feed them Sience Diet cat food. For my Reef I use reef Crystals salt, Tropic Marin Pro Coral Iodine suppliment, ARM calcium reactor media, Rowaphos, Brightwell Aquatics vitamin C, and Formula One and Two pellets for the fish.

I'm setting up an online pet store and wondering what products people like.

-high end high quality (expensive) products? tunze deltec etc
or -fair, less expensive products? "regular products"

Probably a mixture of both. Some of it will depend on the suppliers who will deal with a small business. If there are products lots of people use I'll make a concerted effort to find a supplier. I'm open to everything at this point. I have the URLs and have registered the name and sole proprietorship with the state but I'm building the web sites and still waiting for my sales tax certificate. One site will be specific to reefers and the other for all other kinds of pets.

Food wise for my dog I use Innova EVO. And for meds I use revolution.

+1 love Innova Evo.

The Cat's love their version too. :)
Taste of the Wild and California Natural are also brands of food we've used. Cali Natural is also sometimes hard to come by at stores around here.
Cuz is the favorite dog toy, nearly indestructable. Bully sticks are great as well, I'd like to find some antlers for chewing but they are hard to come by.
I prefer natural dog treats and high quality foods minus all the fillers for our pets. Earthbath Shampoos and such are what we use for cleaning up the stinkers.

Brake-fast dog dish can be useful for those with fast eaters. Another random suggestion of a pet product I'd like to own, cat box hideaways that look like furniture and cat trees.

Good luck on the new venture.

Here is a useful link that gives some input on foods and rates them using a star system. www.dogfoodanalysis.com

I feed my cat science diet, i also only use clay based litter with no added odors. My cat doesn't seem to like coming out of the box smelling like a field of roses.

As for my fish I feed Rod's food now and they love it, I also use reef crystals and chemipure and purigen. Stealth heaters are a must and arag alive sand is really nice. Oh I also dose food with selcon and dip corals with lugol's iodine.

When I treat for red bugs, I split a pill in half and leave one half on the floor for the cats to eat. It is the right dosage for their weight and they used to steal the half of the pill when I was just cutting it for the tank, but now that I actually give it to them they are suspicious and won't go near it.

Yeah, they used to wait for me to walk over to the tank with one half and jump up on the counter to grab the other one. I would come back and couldn't find the other half and one cat would be sitting there licking their chops.

So I started just dropping it on the floor and then they stopped eating it. My wife says if I put it in my mouth and then casually let it fall out they will think it is something really good and start eating it again.
