EVC or Radium SE 20k?

Ok, Im switching my ballast to a PFO 250w hqi ballast.

Which bulb do you guys recommend, the EVC or the Radium SE 20k?

Im not going to be using any supplemental lighting. (no t5s or vho) Gonna be used as a stand alone bulb in my coralvue lumenbright mini pendant. Looking for a nice tank color, coral colors, with the highest possible par.

i just ordered the evc 20k, i can't offer an opinion as this will be the first time trying them.

If I'm not mistaking EVC is the Helios re branded so I would go for the EVC 20k

How are you liking that EVC 20K? What ballast are you using?

i just received the bulbs but i cannot use them yet because my fixture is being shipped with my tank. i will be running ice caps on them. i ran helios 250w DE on my current set up for about 8 months and the corals looked good.

Radiums 250w is a little dim to my eye, but 400w is superior IMO. i have use it on HQi and now i have it on Galaxy and colors are super.
I have tried EVC 20k some years ago and it was soso, Helios on other hand is great bulbs too, but again i can only say about 400watter..
I would PM to Paulerik on Rc, he is a pro in ballast/bulb combo
