Best place to purchase substrate cheap?

As the title says. I was wondering where I can go to purchase substrate cheap without having to pay triple to have it shipped. Seems like everywhere I go they want like $20 to $30 per 30 lb bag to ship. I was looking for a small grain size oolitic like sand. Thanks in advance for your help!

Go to a Homedepot store in Jersey and get tropical play sand.

i've just got a 90# delivery of oolitic sand from that pet place. the over weight shipping wasn't that bad.

tell you the truth i really think its worth the money for the real stuff. it doesnt create as bad as sandstorms you will get form southdown. especially if you get or have a goby they make little messes. hehe.

I have to agree with Tonyscoots here. I was looking for Southdown for the longest time and I finally broke down and just bought Nature's Ocean Aragonite at the Petland on 23rd for about $18 a bag. Afterwards I started to read about some negative things relating to SD. Dust clouds and algae blooms. Depending on how much sand you are looking for you may just want to buy aragonite. For the piece of mind.

Fosters and Smith do not charge overweight fee`s anymore on sand and the like. They have Aragamax sand for 21.99 per 30lb. bag.
