What is the dumbest thing you've ever done to your reef tank??

I have placed my 150w heater in my Remora Skimmer to keep it out of the way. When I feed I turn the skimmer off- and if I don't turn down the heater it will kick in- and since I placed my heater's 2nd probe in my tank, the heater will keep thinking that the water is colder than the water in the Remora's chamber. This leads to the Water in the Remora becomming super heated! I have almost burned myself a couple of times just touching it!

Since the water really is much less than 1 gal though i haven't had any problem when i've turned the Remora back on and let the hot water circulate in my tank. Doesn't raise temps more than a degree or so. I've done this overnight- I really hope i never forget about it over a weekend some time when i'm away!!! :shocked1:

I was cleaning out my canister filter and forgot the close the pipes and unplugged them- got a nice lil shower

I had a flood on the floor when the suction cup on the automatic top fell off. Needless to say, it was a lot of work to get the SG up to normal levels. No more automatic top off with suction cups!

Or maybe it was the Lobster I bought? hrmmm. maybe the common hermit crab I had? I guess I have a long list of stupid things I have done.
