He all, just wanted to start a thread for NP BioPellet Users. I will begin tonight to run these pellets in my system. If anyone wants to try them, you can find them in the marketplace!
250ml for a 135g total tank volume
Replacing phosban in a TLF fluidized reactor (changed about every month)
So this doesn't seem like a lot of media in the reactor, is this right?
What sort of flow do I put through the reactor?
I only need to add media every 6 months or so?
The media requires a high flow rate. It doesn't specify a specific gph but you should see the pellets tumbling. The great thing about adding media is that you add it when its gone! Every system will devour the pellets at its own pace depending on how much you feed or conversely, how much nutrients you are allowing in your water column. The more nutrients, the more bacteria will populate and the more the pellets will be consumed. So six months is just an average but you simply add more when they dissolve.
