Mollies are brackish water.and can handle saltwater with gradual increases in salinity.

Mollies are freshwater fish..brackish water fish are african cichlids, monos, archers, scats and several puffers like figure 8's green spotteds, pygmy's and a few others. Probably almost any fish can be acclimated into a different water condition. I have had brackish water fish in extremely low ph like 6.0 when they should be in 7.8-8.2 and I've had low ph fish like royal plecos that are supposed to be in the 6's with brackish water ,south american and african cichlids. The saltwater mollies you see in stores (I have only seen them in PetCo) are an example of what I am talking about. I'm sure I could take a damsel or clown fish and throw it in my african tank and it would do fine too.

2slo I am going to my LFS's this weekend anyway I am looking for some certain breeds myself I am tight with all the stores by me I will see if anyone has them in stock. Where in Queens are you? I am in Flushtown.

Aww Ed, that really blows man.. Similar thing happened to me a couple of weeks ago.. I bought 3 chromis from fishtown (I'll never buy anything, ever, from there again)... Turns out they had some kind of parasite, they got 3 of my other fish sick, including one of the black clowns I got from you.. I managed to save 2 of my fish doing some freshwater dips & feeding garlic, etc, but I lost my favorite fish, my Borbonias Anthias... I couldn't catch him in all the rock work to treat him... I felt like i failed him - real shitty feeling man.. ='(

I have heard things like that about fishtown but I never had any problems with them personally. They can't be too bad if they have been open for 30 years lol.
I bought probably 90% of my African Cichlids there but never bought any SW ones there There is a few other places in that area that are good if anyone wants to go this weekend like I said before I planned on hitting them up anyway. Who's down?
